The Middle East is an area where vehicle is king and fuel is cheap, typically leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly ways of moving around.

But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have risen the price of oil, the problem of sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In a region that has one of the greatest carbon footprints on the planet, one service is taking advantage of the growing pressure to find alternatives to oil. It's established the Middle East's very first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving successful too, already their client-list consists of McDonald's.
